During today's ash aarti in Ujjain, devotees witnessed Baba Mahakal embellished with a crescent-shaped form created from bhang, sandalwood and ash on the Jyotirlinga.
Ujjain's sacred Jyotirlinga hosted a special ash aarti today, during which the idol of Baba Mahakal was lavishly decorated. Artisans used a mixture of bhang, sandalwood paste and sacred ash to craft a distinctive crescent-shaped visage on the Shiva lingam, a visual rarely seen in regular rituals.
