Auto-rickshaw driver killed in Sukhdev Vihar crash as racing cars hit vehicle

Early Saturday, a 45-year-old auto-rickshaw driver, Md Kalam, was killed when a speeding car struck his vehicle in Sukhdev Vihar, southeast Delhi. Another person, Md Bablu, was injured and police are searching for the drivers involved.
Early Saturday morning, the auto-rickshaw driven by Md Kalam was hit by a car in the Sukhdev Vihar area of southeast Delhi. The impact killed the 45-year-old driver instantly.
Eyewitnesses reported that two cars were racing along the road when one lost control, slammed into the auto-rickshaw and then collided with a nearby cycle rickshaw, causing further damage.
Police have registered a case and are examining CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify the vehicles and their occupants. Teams are conducting raids to locate the drivers who fled the scene.
Md Bablu, the injured passenger, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have appealed to the public for any information that could help apprehend those responsible.
