Police investigating a recent assault on actor Tiger Shroff found that the suspects used Hrithik Roshan’s name as an alias.
Mumbai police have opened a criminal case after actor Tiger Shroff reported an assault in which the perpetrators introduced themselves using the name of his co‑star Hrithik Roshan. According to the statement filed by Shroff's legal team, the attackers approached him under the pretense of a fan meeting, but the encounter turned violent.
Investigators say the use of a fellow actor’s name appears to be a deliberate tactic to gain the victim’s trust and lower his guard. The police have collected CCTV footage from the venue and are tracing the mobile numbers linked to the aliases.
Authorities have not disclosed the number of suspects or any arrests at this stage, but they have assured that the case will be pursued aggressively, given the high‑profile nature of the individuals involved. The incident has sparked concerns within the film fraternity about personal security and the misuse of celebrity identities.
