The Confederation of Indian Industry’s ASSOCHAM reported that Indian business confidence held steady in its latest survey, even as global economic uncertainties persist.
ASSOCHAM released the results of its latest business confidence index, indicating that overall sentiment among Indian enterprises has not slipped despite a backdrop of global economic headwinds. The index, which gauges optimism across manufacturing, services and trade, showed a broadly steady outlook among respondents.
The organization highlighted that domestic demand, continued policy support and resilient supply‑chain dynamics have helped anchor confidence. At the same time, it acknowledged external pressures such as slower growth in major economies and ongoing geopolitical tensions.
Industry analysts said the steadiness in confidence could underpin continued investment and hiring, but cautioned that a prolonged global slowdown may test the resilience of Indian businesses in the months ahead.
