An assistant professor was arrested near the Gwalior Air Force station after attempting to throw petrol‑filled bottles, authorities said. He claims the IAF hacked his mind, and a psychiatric probe is underway.

A 35‑year‑old assistant professor was taken into custody near the Gwalior Air Force station after police intercepted him with petrol‑filled bottles, the Ministry of Defence said on Tuesday. The suspect allegedly tried to throw the bottles at the IAF gate but was stopped by security personnel.

He told investigators that the Indian Air Force had hacked his brain and forced him to act, a claim that authorities are treating as a possible mental health issue. A psychiatric evaluation is being conducted to determine the extent of his condition.

The police are also verifying the teacher’s academic credentials and reviewing his medical records. According to relatives, he has been receiving neurological treatment for several years, which may explain his recent behaviour.

The case is being handled by the Gwalior Police Crime Branch, and the IAF has released a statement that it is cooperating with the investigation and will provide any necessary assistance.
