Assam to Roll Out 5-Year Masterplan for New Tourist Destinations

Assam's tourism minister announced a comprehensive five-year masterplan designed to identify and develop new tourist destinations throughout the state. The initiative seeks to diversify Assam's tourism offerings beyond its traditional attractions, focusing on lesser‑known natural and cultural sites. Infrastructure upgrades, promotional campaigns, and community involvement are earmarked as key components of the strategy.
