Assam Rifles and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) confiscated contraband worth ₹4.10 crore from a smuggling operation in Mizoram.
In a coordinated operation, Assam Rifles and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized contraband valued at ₹4.10 crore from a smuggling network operating in Mizoram.
The seized goods, comprising a range of illicit items, were recovered from a covert storage site near the state’s border.
The operation was carried out by joint forces of the paramilitary unit and revenue intelligence officers, who intercepted the shipment before it could reach the market.
Officials said the seizure disrupts the smuggling chain and will aid in further investigations into cross‑border trafficking in the region.
