The first round of NEET PG choice filling for Assam begins today, with candidates required to lock their preferences by the stipulated deadline, according to Shiksha.com.
Assam's postgraduate medical entrance counseling has opened the first round of choice filling as of today. Applicants who have qualified NEET PG can log into the official portal to select their preferred specialties and institutions. The portal will remain open for a limited period, after which candidates must lock their choices to proceed to seat allocation.
Shiksha.com has outlined the critical dates: the choice-filling window opens today and will close on the date specified in the official schedule, typically within a week. Candidates are advised to review the list of participating colleges, seat matrix, and eligibility criteria before finalising their selections.
The counseling authority has also released step‑by‑step instructions for the online process, including login credentials, document uploads, and payment of any applicable fees. Failure to complete the process within the given timeframe may result in forfeiture of the opportunity to secure a seat in the current counseling round.
Stakeholders, including medical colleges and student bodies, have urged aspirants to verify their details carefully to avoid errors that could affect their allotment. The next phases of counseling, including seat allotment and reporting, will follow after the choice‑locking deadline.
