Assam and Meghalaya CMs seek Finance Minister's support for NE externally‑aided projects

Chief Ministers Himanta Biswa Sarma of Assam and Conrad Sangma of Meghalaya convened with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss the financing needs of projects in the Northeast that rely on external aid. The three leaders outlined the challenges faced by ongoing infrastructure and development schemes that depend on foreign assistance and multilateral funding.
