Infrastructure firm Ashoka Buildcon has been awarded a Letter of Acceptance worth ₹112.40 crore to construct a dedicated Gems and Jewellery Park in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
Ashoka Buildcon, a leading infrastructure developer, announced that it has secured a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) valued at ₹112.40 crore for a new Gems and Jewellery Park in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. The LOA authorises the company to commence detailed design, land acquisition and construction activities for the specialised industrial hub.
The project aims to create a dedicated ecosystem for gem cutting, polishing and jewellery manufacturing, sectors that have traditionally relied on scattered facilities across the state. By consolidating these activities in a single park, the government hopes to boost export potential, attract investment and generate skilled employment for the local workforce.
If executed as planned, the park could become a catalyst for the region’s economic diversification, complementing Raipur’s existing industrial base. Industry observers note that the sizeable financial commitment underscores confidence in the city’s logistics network and its proximity to raw material sources in eastern India.
