After a seven-decade wait, the remote village of Khamlang in Arunachal Pradesh has gained access to a motorable Bailey bridge, significantly reducing the distance to Miao.

The long-standing isolation of Khamlang village in Arunachal Pradesh has finally come to an end with the inauguration of a motorable Bailey bridge. This development fulfills a wait of approximately seven decades for the local residents.

The new bridge is expected to drastically improve connectivity for Khamlang. Previously, reaching Miao, a significant town in the region, was a considerable undertaking. With the bridge in place, the distance to Miao has reportedly been reduced to a mere 7 kilometers.

This infrastructure upgrade is anticipated to bring substantial benefits to the village, likely enhancing access to essential services, markets, and transportation networks for the community.
