Chief Minister Pema Khandu presented a comprehensive roadmap aimed at boosting economic opportunities and skill development for the youth of Arunachal Pradesh.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu unveiled a strategic plan in Itanagar designed to harness the potential of the state’s young population. The roadmap outlines initiatives to improve vocational training, promote entrepreneurship, and attract private investment in sectors such as tourism, agro‑processing and renewable energy.
The government aims to create thousands of jobs over the next five years by linking educational institutions with industry partners and simplifying grant procedures for start‑ups. A dedicated youth development council will monitor progress and ensure that policies remain responsive to local needs.
Khandu emphasized that the success of the plan depends on active participation from community leaders, NGOs and the private sector. He urged parents and educators to encourage students to pursue skill‑based courses that align with emerging market demands.
The announcement comes as Arunachal Pradesh seeks to curb out‑migration and boost its contribution to the Northeast’s overall economic growth. Officials will release detailed implementation guidelines in the coming weeks.
