Arunachal Police Rescue 51, Including 47 Children, from Trafficking Ring; 5 Arrested

Arunachal Pradesh police announced a successful operation that freed 51 individuals from a trafficking ring operating in the state. The majority of the rescued—47 people—were children who had been trafficked for forced labor and exploitation. Five suspects were taken into custody during the raid, and investigators say they were part of a larger network that had been active for months.

The operation was carried out in coordination with local authorities and the state’s anti-trafficking unit. Police officials said they received intelligence about the location of the victims and conducted a swift raid, ensuring the safety of the rescued.

Authorities are now working to provide medical care, counseling, and legal assistance to the victims, while the arrested suspects face charges under the Prevention of Human Trafficking Act.
