Arunachal Mission Signs MoUs for Placement‑Linked Skill Training

The Arunachal Rural Livelihoods Mission has inked Memoranda of Understanding to launch placement‑linked skill training programmes aimed at boosting employment in the state’s rural areas.
The Arunachal Rural Livelihoods Mission (ARLM) announced today that it has signed several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with industry partners to roll out placement‑linked skill training initiatives across the state.
The MoUs aim to equip rural youth with vocational skills that match the demands of local and regional employers, ensuring that training is directly tied to job placement opportunities. The mission plans to conduct workshops, apprenticeships and on‑the‑job training in sectors such as tourism, handicrafts and sustainable agriculture.
Key partners in the agreements include the State Skill Development Corporation, local private enterprises and a consortium of NGOs that specialise in rural employment. The collaboration will also provide a platform for employers to identify and recruit talent from the training programmes.
ARLM officials expect the initiative to create thousands of jobs and reduce out‑migration by offering viable livelihood options within Arunachal Pradesh’s rural communities.
