Arunachal Pradesh minister Mama Natung has called for a peaceful resolution and cooperation with Assam amid ongoing border tensions.

Arunachal Pradesh’s Minister of State for Home, Mama Natung, addressed the public today, urging both sides to seek a peaceful solution to the long‑standing border dispute with Assam.

The minister highlighted that the two states share a history of cooperation and mutual respect, describing Assam as an "elder brother" to Arunachal Pradesh.

He called on the central government, state authorities and local communities to work together to ease tensions and foster goodwill, stressing that dialogue and understanding are the keys to lasting peace.

While the government has maintained that the border issue remains a matter for the central authorities, Natung’s remarks signal a willingness from Arunachal leadership to engage constructively with Assam’s representatives.
