Arunachal minister urges farmer‑centric tech to boost Northeast agriculture

Arunachal Pradesh's agriculture minister has publicly advocated for the adoption of farmer‑centric technologies aimed at transforming agricultural practices throughout India's Northeast. The call underscores the need for tools and solutions that directly address the challenges faced by small‑holder farmers in the region. By focusing on technology that aligns with farmers' capacities and local conditions, the minister hopes to increase productivity and sustainability. The statement comes at a time when the Northeast is seeking to diversify its agrarian base and reduce reliance on traditional methods. Officials anticipate that such a push could attract research partnerships and investment in region‑specific agri‑tech solutions.
