The Arunachal Golf Association announced a structured development plan aimed at expanding golf facilities and participation across Arunachal Pradesh.
The Arunachal Golf Association has released a comprehensive roadmap intended to nurture and expand the sport of golf throughout Arunachal Pradesh. The plan outlines a phased approach that includes infrastructure upgrades, talent identification and coaching programmes, and the promotion of golf at school and community levels.
Key initiatives under the roadmap call for the construction of new golf courses in strategic locations, refurbishment of existing facilities, and the establishment of training academies to develop local coaches and players. Partnerships with national golf bodies and private sponsors are also slated to provide technical expertise and financial support.
Association officials indicated that the roadmap will be implemented over the next five years, with periodic reviews to assess progress. They expect the measures to increase participation, especially among youth, and to position Arunachal Pradesh as an emerging hub for golf tourism in the Northeast.
The association plans to launch awareness campaigns and host regional tournaments to generate interest and showcase the state’s natural terrain as suitable for world‑class golf venues.
