Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister has called for a coalition of Northeast states to tackle the rising cases of child trafficking and online abuse.

The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh has urged the states of the Northeast to unite in a formal alliance aimed at combating child trafficking and online abuse.

The call comes amid growing concerns that the region is becoming a hotspot for illegal trafficking networks that exploit vulnerable children. Officials have reported an uptick in cases where minors are lured or coerced into migration for forced labor.

In addition to trafficking, the CM highlighted the surge in online abuse targeting children, including cyberbullying and grooming. He stressed that digital platforms are being misused to facilitate these crimes.

The CM announced that the alliance would focus on coordinated law‑enforcement efforts, information sharing, and public awareness campaigns to protect children across the Northeast.
