In a statement released on Tuesday, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu denied the reports that Chinese troops had crossed the border in the state.
He described the claims as "just rumours" and said he would speak with army officials to clarify the situation.
The CM added that no concrete evidence of an incursion had been found.
The government remains vigilant, but officials have not confirmed any military movement across the Line of Actual Control in the region.
