The Army Service Corps battalion successfully navigated a 145‑kilometre rafting route from Rudraprayag to Rishikesh, marking its 12th reunion.

The Army Service Corps (ASC) battalion concluded a challenging 145‑kilometre rafting expedition that began in Rudraprayag and ended in Rishikesh. The riverine trek was undertaken to commemorate the unit's 12th reunion, bringing together serving and veteran personnel for a shared adventure on the Ganges.

Covering the stretch from the higher reaches of the Alaknanda tributary to the confluence at Rishikesh, the team navigated swift currents, rapids and varying water levels over several days. The distance covered underscores the physical endurance and teamwork that are hallmarks of ASC training.

Organisers highlighted that the expedition served both as a morale‑boosting activity and a practical exercise in riverine operations, reinforcing the battalion's readiness for water‑based logistical tasks. The successful completion of the trek was recorded without incident, reflecting the professionalism of the troops involved.
