Late‑night armed robbers targeted a private agency’s warehouse in Mazita, Amritsar, seizing 357 sacks of wheat and holding security staff hostage.
At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a group of armed men stormed a warehouse belonging to a private logistics firm in the town of Mazita, located in the Amritsar district of Punjab.
The attackers seized 357 sacks of wheat stored in the facility and took several security guards hostage before fleeing the scene.
Local police have launched an investigation and are searching for the perpetrators, while authorities are working to secure the remaining stock and ensure the safety of the hostages.
