The Oscar‑winning composer revealed to India Today that a dream he had in 2014 hinted at his later involvement with a Ramayana‑themed musical project.
A. R. Rahman, the internationally acclaimed Indian composer, disclosed in an interview with India Today that a vivid dream he experienced in 2014 seemed to anticipate his eventual partnership on a Ramayana‑related musical venture.
He said the dream featured iconic scenes from the ancient epic, accompanied by melodies that later echoed in the compositions he created for the project. The recollection, he added, gave him a sense of destiny when the opportunity arose.
The Ramayana association, announced subsequently, adds to Rahman's extensive work on Indian cultural narratives, ranging from film scores to stage productions and global collaborations. His remarks highlight how personal experiences can intersect with professional milestones.
