The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission’s digital evaluation of the 2020 Group I Mains exam has uncovered serious irregularities, prompting a review of the results that shortlisted 326 candidates.

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) conducted the Group I Mains examination from 14 to 20 December 2020. A total of 6,807 candidates appeared for all seven papers, which covered a range of subjects relevant to state civil service roles.

APPSC adopted a digital evaluation system for the papers and announced the results on 1 April 2021. The announcement short‑listed 326 candidates for the next stage of the recruitment process.

During the post‑evaluation review, the commission’s SIT (Standardised Integrated Testing) scanner flagged serious irregularities in the marking process. The nature of the irregularities was not disclosed, but the findings have prompted an internal investigation to verify the integrity of the results.

Candidates who were shortlisted are awaiting clarification from the commission, while APPSC has indicated that it will take corrective measures and may re‑evaluate the affected papers to ensure fairness in the selection process.
