The Arunachal Pradesh Information Commission (APIC) organized a workshop on the Right to Information Act at Rajiv Gandhi University. The event aimed to create awareness about transparency and accountability in governance.
The workshop was held at the Rajiv Gandhi University campus, focusing on the provisions and practical application of the Right to Information Act, 2005. APIC officials facilitated sessions explaining how citizens can file RTI requests and obtain information from public authorities.
Participants included university students, faculty members and representatives from the information commission, who discussed the role of RTI in promoting good governance. The interactive format allowed attendees to ask questions and clarify doubts about the process.
APIC emphasized that such educational initiatives are part of its mandate to strengthen the RTI framework across the state. The commission plans to hold similar workshops in other educational institutions to widen public awareness.
