The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee has lodged a formal protest against a United Nations map that depicts Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh as territories of China.
The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) issued a statement condemning a recent United Nations map that portrays Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh as belonging to China. The committee said the depiction undermines India’s sovereign claims and could fuel external attempts to alter the status quo in the region.
According to the APCC, the map, circulated among diplomatic circles, fails to reflect the internationally recognised borders established after the 1962 war and subsequent agreements.
