The Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission has widened the nomination period for municipal elections in Kadapa, Rajampet, Mydukur and Tirupati following a Supreme Court directive.
The Supreme Court of India recently issued an order mandating the State Election Commission (SEC) of Andhra Pradesh to extend the nomination period for several municipal elections.
In response, the SEC announced that the deadline for filing nominations in Kadapa, Rajampet, Mydukur and Tirupati will be pushed back, giving candidates additional time to submit their papers.
