The Economic Offences Unit has arrested another suspect linked to the 2023 Bihar soldier recruitment examination scam, which involved a ₹9 million fraud.
Patna – The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar police announced the arrest of an additional accused in the 2023 soldier recruitment examination scam. The suspect is alleged to have been part of a scheme that promised candidates successful clearance of the recruitment test for a payment of around ₹9 million.
The investigation, which began after irregularities were detected in the selection process, has already led to several arrests and the seizure of cash and documents. Officials said the latest arrest deepens the probe into how the fraudulent network operated across the state.
Authorities have not disclosed the identity of the newly detained individual, but they confirmed that the case remains under active investigation, with further arrests possible as the EOU continues to trace the money trail and interview witnesses.
