The parents of Ankita Bhandari reached India Gate to demand answers about a VIP’s role in their daughter’s case.
Ankita Bhandari’s parents arrived at India Gate on Monday, carrying placards that question the involvement of a VIP in the investigation of their daughter’s case. The couple said they have travelled to the national capital to seek a direct response from authorities, alleging that the presence of a powerful figure may be influencing the progress of the probe.
According to statements made at the site, the parents are pressing for a transparent inquiry and have requested that the relevant agencies disclose any connections between the VIP and the case. They have also appealed to senior officials to ensure that the investigation proceeds without external pressure.
Police and security personnel were present at the monument, monitoring the gathering but have not reported any disruption. No official comment has been released yet regarding the specific VIP mentioned or any forthcoming action.
The demonstration adds to a series of public appeals by families of victims who claim that influential individuals are shielding themselves from scrutiny. The authorities are expected to address the concerns raised, though a timeline for any response remains unclear.
