Andhra Pradesh, Saurashtra and Punjab secured three points each after their Ranji Trophy games ended in draws, as per the BCCI points system.
Three first‑class fixtures in the ongoing Ranji Trophy concluded without a result, leaving Andhra Pradesh, Saurashtra and Punjab level on points. Under the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) scoring rules, a drawn match awards each side three points, and all three teams added those points to their tournament tally.
The outcomes were confirmed by the match officials and reported by The Economic Times. No individual performances or innings scores were highlighted in the brief, indicating that the primary news was the points allocation rather than any standout player contributions.
With the points now secured, the three sides remain in contention for a place in the knockout stage, while the next round of fixtures will determine whether they can convert draws into outright wins.
The Ranji Trophy, India’s premier domestic cricket competition, continues to see tightly contested matches across the country, reflecting the depth of talent in the state teams.
