The Andhra Pradesh health ministry announced a door‑to‑door medical outreach for senior citizens, set to begin in October, aiming to provide routine check‑ups and preventive care.
The state health minister disclosed that Andhra Pradesh will roll out a door‑to‑door health drive for senior citizens starting in October. The initiative is designed to bring basic medical services directly to the homes of the elderly, reducing the need for them to travel to clinics.
Medical teams comprising doctors, nurses and health workers will visit households, offering screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, vision and other common age‑related conditions. Residents will also receive health education and referrals for further treatment where required.
