The Andhra Pradesh government declared a holiday for all schools on 30 October after the India Meteorological Department warned of Cyclone Arnab, with officials monitoring when classes can resume.

The state government of Andhra Pradesh announced that all schools will remain closed on 30 October following the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) advisory on Cyclone Arnab. The cyclone, currently tracking over the Bay of Bengal, is expected to affect the coastal districts later this week, prompting authorities to pre‑emptively suspend academic activities.

Education officials said the holiday is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff. They are closely tracking the IMD updates and will issue a notice on when regular classes can resume, likely after the cyclone moves away from the coastline.

Parents have been advised to keep children at home and avoid non‑essential travel until the situation stabilises. The education department will communicate any further changes through official channels and school networks.

The IMD has classified Arnab as a severe cyclonic storm, with wind speeds projected to reach up to 120 km/h. Local disaster management teams are on standby, and schools in the most vulnerable areas may face extended closures if conditions worsen.
