Andhra Pradesh rolls out GHPP and DDW programmes to boost handicrafts

The Andhra Pradesh administration has introduced two new schemes, the GHPP and the DDW, to give a fresh impetus to the state's traditional handicraft industry. The initiatives are expected to provide financial assistance, skill development and market‑linkage support to artisans across the state. Officials said the programmes will focus on modernising designs while preserving cultural heritage, thereby expanding domestic and export opportunities.
