The Andhra Pradesh police have launched a probe into the death of an Assamese student, deploying aerial drones and canine squads to gather evidence.
A young student from Assam was found dead under circumstances that prompted a formal investigation by the Andhra Pradesh police. The case has drawn attention due to the cross‑state nature of the victim and the unusual investigative methods being employed.
In response, the police have mobilised aerial drones to scan the area where the body was discovered, aiming to capture high‑resolution images and locate any forensic clues that may have been missed on the ground. Simultaneously, specially trained K9 units have been dispatched to trace scents and identify potential evidence.
Officials said the combined use of technology and canine teams reflects a growing trend in Indian law‑enforcement to adopt advanced tools for complex investigations. No further details about the cause of death or suspects have been released pending the outcome of the probe.
