The Human Resource Development Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Lokesh, has instructed officials to release a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) 2.0 notification within the next 30 days.
Andhra Pradesh’s Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Lokesh issued a formal directive to the state’s education officials, asking them to prepare and publish a notification for the rollout of Digital Signature Certificate version 2.0 within a month. The order was conveyed in a meeting held at the HRD ministry headquarters, where the minister emphasized the need for a swift implementation to align with national digital initiatives.
The DSC 2.0 framework is expected to enhance security and interoperability for government services, educational institutions, and private entities that rely on digital signatures. By setting a 30‑day deadline, the minister aims to accelerate the transition from the existing DSC system, which has faced criticism for delays and technical glitches.
Stakeholders, including university administrators and IT departments of schools, have been asked to cooperate fully with the notification process. The ministry plans to issue detailed guidelines shortly after the notification, outlining the technical specifications, enrollment procedures, and compliance requirements for users across the state.
