Anbumani called on the Tamil Nadu government to construct a new Secretariat campus outside Chennai, emphasizing the need for a fresh location.
Anbumani, a senior political figure, has publicly urged the Tamil Nadu government to develop a new Secretariat complex beyond the limits of Chennai. He argued that the existing administrative hub would benefit from relocation to a purpose‑built campus.
The suggestion comes amid ongoing discussions about the adequacy of current government facilities in the state capital. While no official plan has been announced, Anbumani's remarks have sparked debate among policymakers about the feasibility and timing of such a project.
Stakeholders are expected to evaluate the proposal in the coming weeks, considering factors such as land availability, cost implications and the potential impact on administrative efficiency.
