Amritsar's Company Bagh Uses Images of Fallen Police to Inspire Youth Patriotism

Amritsar’s historic Company Bagh has recently unveiled a series of photographs featuring police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. The display, set up in the park’s central pavilion, aims to remind visitors of the sacrifices made by law‑enforcement personnel and to foster a sense of national pride among the younger generation.

Company Bagh, a popular public space known for its colonial-era architecture and lush gardens, has become a venue for civic remembrance. The photographs, accompanied by brief biographies, highlight the officers’ bravery during various incidents over the past decade.

Officials say the initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen community ties and encourage civic responsibility. Local schools have already scheduled visits, allowing students to learn about the officers’ service firsthand.
