Amritsar Police Foil Terror Plot

In a significant operation, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police have foiled a terror plot to target railway tracks in the city. The police have arrested nine suspects in connection with the plot, which was backed by the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) of Pakistan. The operation has uncovered two cross-border terror modules that were involved in the plot. The modules were reportedly sending footage of railway tracks to their handlers in Pakistan. The police action has averted a major terror attack in the city, which was likely to be carried out before Independence Day.
