AM/NS India has entered into a shareholders’ agreement to modernise four government‑run Industrial Training Institutes in Andhra Pradesh as part of the PM‑SETU scheme.
The joint venture AM/NS India announced today that it has signed a shareholders’ agreement with the Andhra Pradesh government to upgrade four government‑run Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). The upgrades will be carried out under the Prime Minister’s Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (PM‑SETU) programme, which aims to enhance vocational training infrastructure across the country.
The agreement outlines a public‑private partnership model in which AM/NS India will provide technical expertise, modern equipment and curriculum enhancements, while the state will contribute land and existing facilities. The selected ITIs are located in different districts of Andhra Pradesh, though the exact sites were not disclosed.
The initiative is expected to boost the skill levels of trainees, improve placement rates and align the courses with industry demand. Officials said the project will be implemented in phases, with the first phase slated for completion by the end of the next financial year.
Stakeholders from both the private firm and the state government emphasized that the collaboration reflects a broader push to strengthen India’s vocational education ecosystem under PM‑SETU.
