The entertainment industry has been abuzz with speculation about a possible personal link between veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan and actress Rekha. Over the past months, various media outlets and social media users have revived the narrative, suggesting a hidden relationship that has never been substantiated.
In a recent interview, Bachchan broke his long‑standing silence on the matter, describing the rumours as "damaging" and "a big joke." He emphasized that such baseless stories distract from his work and the legacy of both artists, and he declined to elaborate further.
The actor’s candid remarks were received with a mix of relief and curiosity. While fans expressed support for his straightforwardness, media analysts noted that the clarification is unlikely to revive the old gossip cycle, given the clear dismissal by one of Bollywood’s most respected figures.
