In a statement in Bhopal, Amit Shah announced that criminal cases will reach a Supreme Court verdict within three years following the BNS.

In Bhopal, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the media and announced a new timeline for criminal case adjudication. He stated that, following the implementation of the BNS framework, the Supreme Court will deliver verdicts on criminal matters within a maximum of three years.

The announcement was made during a brief press conference held at a government office in the capital city. Shah emphasized that the new schedule aims to reduce the backlog of cases and expedite justice for victims and accused alike.

Legal experts noted that the move could significantly alter the pace of criminal proceedings, but also raised questions about the capacity of the judiciary to meet the proposed deadlines.
