A tragic incident unfolded in Akhatpur village when an ambulance could not reach the home of a dying elderly woman due to the absence of a proper road.
The ambulance, en route to the village, halted approximately one kilometre away, unable to navigate the uneven terrain that connects the village to the main road.
With no alternative transport available, villagers carried the deceased on a bullock cart to the woman’s residence, where she was laid to rest.
Local authorities have yet to respond, and residents are calling for immediate road construction to prevent future emergencies.
