Alleged mastermind Rahul Jaiswal arrested in Devas TI death case, assistant abkari officer suspended

Police in Madhya Pradesh arrested Rahul Jaiswal, identified by investigators as the alleged chief organizer of an illegal liquor operation that is being examined in connection with the death of local political figure TI Dileep Puri in Khategaon, Devas. The arrest was made after a series of raids that uncovered evidence linking Jaiswal to the distribution network.

Investigators traced the flow of illicit liquor from Gujarat through the town of Timarni, revealing a supply chain that bypassed state excise controls. The seized records indicated coordinated shipments that were intended for resale in the Devas region, where the fatal incident occurred.

In a related administrative action, the state excise department suspended Assistant District Abkari Officer Amar Singh Baghel pending further inquiry. Authorities said the suspension was necessary to ensure an unbiased investigation into possible procedural lapses.

Senior police officials confirmed that the case remains under active investigation and that additional arrests may follow as the probe expands.
