India’s left‑arm all‑rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been named in his state side’s Ranji Trophy squad as he prepares for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand.
Ravindra Jadeja, the seasoned left‑arm spinner and hard‑hitting batsman, has been included in his state team’s lineup for the upcoming Ranji Trophy match. The selection comes as part of his preparation for the four‑match Test series India will play against New Zealand later this month.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has encouraged senior players to gain match practice in domestic competitions ahead of high‑profile international assignments. Jadeja’s participation is expected to provide him with valuable innings and bowling work, helping him fine‑tune his skills before facing the New Zealand attack.
Jadeja, who has been a regular fixture in India’s Test side, brings a wealth of experience to the Ranji arena. His recent performances in limited‑overs cricket have highlighted his all‑round capabilities, and the Ranji outing will allow him to maintain rhythm in both batting and bowling ahead of the demanding overseas series.
