In a swift operation, Ahmedabad police have detained a security guard accused of raping a woman on a building terrace, after the victim was strangled during the assault.
The police operation began after reports of a violent assault on the terrace of a commercial building in Ahmedabad. According to authorities, the accused security guard strangled a woman before raping her. The victim was rescued and taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police deployed ten teams to search for the suspect and were able to arrest him within hours. The security firm that employed the guard has been notified and will face scrutiny for its role in the incident.
Investigators are currently collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses to build a comprehensive case against the accused and the hiring agency.
