Agartala to Launch New Water Plant to Boost Supply

The Tripura government has announced the commissioning of a new water treatment plant in Agartala, the state capital. The facility, located near the city’s outskirts, is designed to process approximately 10 million liters of water daily, a significant boost to the existing supply network. Construction began earlier this year and is slated for completion by the end of the fiscal year, with the plant expected to reduce water shortages during peak demand periods. Officials highlighted that the project will also incorporate advanced filtration technology to improve water quality for the city’s growing population.
