Senior National Conference leader Aga Ruhullah has stepped down, a development described as a major setback for the party in Jammu and Kashmir.
Aga Ruhullah, a prominent figure in the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, announced his resignation today. The move has been characterised by political observers as a significant setback for the party, which has been striving to maintain its influence in the region.
The resignation comes at a time when the National Conference is navigating a complex political landscape, with upcoming elections and shifting alliances. Party officials have not disclosed the reasons behind Ruhullah's departure, and no immediate replacement for his role has been announced.
Analysts suggest that the loss of a senior leader could affect the party's organisational strength and voter outreach in key constituencies. The National Conference is expected to address the vacancy in its internal meetings and may seek to mitigate any impact on its electoral strategy.
Stakeholders across the political spectrum are watching closely to gauge how the resignation will reshape the dynamics of Jammu and Kashmir politics.
