During his ongoing promotional tour of the United States and Canada, veteran actor Anupam Kher said he often misses meeting Indian expatriates, expressing regret over the missed opportunities.
Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher is travelling across major cities in the United States and Canada as part of a promotional circuit for his recent projects. While attending screenings and cultural events, he has repeatedly noted that his schedule leaves little room to connect with the sizable Indian diaspora that follows his work.
In a recent interview, Kher admitted, "I keep missing all of these," referring to the numerous gatherings of Indian fans and community groups that he has been unable to attend. He emphasized that meeting the diaspora is a priority for him, given their long-standing support for Indian cinema abroad.
Kher’s remarks highlight a broader challenge faced by Indian artists on international tours: balancing media commitments with the desire to engage directly with overseas audiences. He indicated that future visits will aim to include more meet‑and‑greet sessions, pending logistical adjustments.
The actor’s candidness about missing these interactions has resonated with fans, many of whom have taken to social media to express appreciation for his honesty and to request more accessible events during his stay in North America.
