Following a demand by the Action Committee, Lakha Sidhaana and Mohanjit Shero, arrested in the Jhoota murder case, have been released from Nabha jail in Punjab.
The Action Committee’s latest demand was met when authorities ordered the release of Lakha Sidhaana and Mohanjit Shero, both detained in connection with the Jhoota murder case. The two men were taken into custody earlier in the investigation and were housed at Nabha jail in Punjab.
The committee, which has been vocal about the case’s handling, had previously pressed for several procedural changes. Their recent appeal specifically called for the release of the two accused, arguing that the legal process warranted it.
State officials confirmed that the release was carried out in accordance with the committee’s request and existing legal provisions. Both individuals remain under investigation, and further judicial proceedings are expected to determine any subsequent actions.
