ACME Solar Shares Surge After Activating 3.62 GWh Battery Storage in Rajasthan

ACME Solar's stock climbed after the company announced it had brought its 3.62 GWh battery energy storage system online in Rajasthan. The move is expected to boost the firm’s renewable portfolio.

ACME Solar’s shares rose sharply on Tuesday after the company confirmed that it had operationalised a 3.62‑gigawatt‑hour battery energy storage system (BESS) in Rajasthan. The announcement came as part of the firm’s broader strategy to integrate storage solutions with its solar generation assets.

The Rajasthan BESS, located near the city of Jaipur, is designed to smooth out the intermittency of solar power and provide grid stability during peak demand. By pairing the storage system with existing solar farms, ACME Solar aims to enhance the reliability of renewable supply in the region.

Analysts note that the addition of a large‑scale battery facility could improve the company’s earnings profile by creating new revenue streams from ancillary services such as frequency regulation and demand response. The project also aligns with Rajasthan’s aggressive renewable energy targets for 2030.

Following the announcement, ACME Solar’s shares gained over 4% in early trading, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s expansion into energy storage. Market watchers expect further gains as the firm continues to roll out similar projects across India.
