Acme Solar Holdings has officially commissioned a 160.512 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Rajasthan, marking a significant addition to the state’s renewable infrastructure.

Acme Solar Holdings announced the commissioning of a 160.512 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Rajasthan. The project, now operational, is expected to bolster the region’s capacity to store solar-generated electricity for later use.

The BESS will enable smoother integration of intermittent solar power into the grid, reducing curtailment and enhancing reliability during peak demand periods. By storing excess generation, the system can dispatch power when solar output wanes, supporting grid stability.

Industry analysts view the installation as a step forward for India’s clean‑energy roadmap, aligning with national targets to expand renewable capacity and improve storage capabilities. Acme Solar Holdings indicated that the Rajasthan project is part of a broader strategy to deploy similar storage solutions across the country.
